Just trying to get back into the swing of using my website again. Jamie my grand daughter got married the 23 of July 2018. I will be posting pictures so it will be interesting how this goes after so many years. Jamie is expecting a little baby girl around January 2019. I like Charlie her husband and pray they will grow old together and be happy! :) Christina is teaching at Daggett Montesssori School in Fortworth Texas. She is the School Librarian and loves her Job! This coming school year she will be teaching one class in her library. Andy is working two jobs still so he is a father with many hats just as Lisa is a mother with many hats. The kids are doing great, and I will be posting pictures. I have some stuff to do. Build a new gate for the deck. The one made of wood is not doing so well even though it is made of treated wood. You would think it would last longer then ten years would you not.
I have finally figured out how to add to my blog since they have changed things. Taylor and her friend Abby came to stay with me for a week. I hate it I did not get to be with them except in the mornings. They entertained themselves, but I missed that. They planted some flowers out by the cabin. I will takes pictures and post them tomorrow. I have been busy working a lot, and I get tired more easily then I used to. Could be because I am getting older? Nah just a person that likes to lay around and watch movies.
I do cut grass now cause I got a new riding mower. Love that automatic transmission. Never had one on a mower before. Christina is in Texas and so is Scoobydoo. I have Nix and she is a mess. Lisa's surgery turned out fine. Christina help's with the kids, and I know that helps. I have not been doing much and this being the first time I have been able to post a blog does not seem like much. I just wanted to let everyone know I am still here and well. Hope everyone out there is too! May your Christmas be blessed, and Your New Years a safe and happy one! I work today, but am thinking of all my family and friends this blessed day. I just wanted to let you all know that!

Our babies are so precious and we must be careful. We must pray for our country and the future of our children. We need help for our country and its representatives. I love and miss you all and pray for the best and health. God Bless I have been really slow in doing what I have planned on doing with my blog. I don't find time to share, and I guess it is because I don't think people are really reading it. Gotta stop that thinking, and do it for me. This week-end Christina and I began to prepare for the homecoming of Andy and his family. They are coming for the weekend of the 28th. So we are getting the studio room ready for them and the house ready for them all. We have our Christmas tree up and it is a Candy Cane tree this time. It has read lights and lots of candy canes. Some are candy canes with candy in them. I know the kids will like that! It was Christina's idea really, but I love it. We will not have a lot of gifts, but they will enjoy I think what we chose with real thought and care.
Nix the cat started eating the tree (it is fake) so we went to Pet Smart and bought cat grass and she really dug into that. I did not know she needed that. Anyhow I am going to post pet pictures and the tree so you can see who and what I am talking about. I work Christmas day and New years night so I will not be spending this year like usual. Hopefully next year it will be better. Lisa and the family are going to Angel Fire after the week end they spend with us. I hope they are careful and safe! Merry Christmas everyone! This year has been a really good year. There have been some bumps in the road, but heavenly father helped in all cases! My family is healthy and doing fine, and my grand children are growing strong and healthy. I hope all of my family is doing the same in Kansas City. I had a great week end, and hope everyone else has too! I got a really great kitty litter box for Nix, and she is adjusted to it already. Scooby is doing great, and I am grateful for that! Christina is here until today. She goes back to Jackson and work then. It is really nice to have her so near. Colder then normal here, and I don't have to use air conditioner which I think is great. I like the season that is between summer and winter.
Thinking about Christmas Holidays now, and what needs to be done. Don't know what I am going to do then, but I do for Thanksgiving. I am visiting my family in Missouri. Cannot wait! Christina is going with me, and so is Scooby . Nix will be staying home, and Vernell said she will handle the cats feeding. I really appreciate her help when I am gone! Well I need to eat and get stuff ready for the day. Just wanted to say hi since I have not been on my blog for a while. Have a blessed day! Today has been very quite. I have relaxed and enjoyed just being quite. I talk to my brother and daughter. I talked to my daughter in law, but for some reason I can sit and watch movies and no problem then I talk on Skype with video and my computer shuts down. If it was my video card I would think it would shut down no matter what, but only Skype initiates the shut down. Confusing I know. Jack and Vernell came over to watch the Avengers tonight, and they like the same part that I did, when hulk threw lokie back and forth to shut him up. It was very funny really. Anyhow, it is getting late and I am getting sleepy. Hope all is well with everyone out there. Love ya
I have thrown out the trash and watched the movie Abduction which was pretty good despite the leading male actor Taylor Lautner. It was a good story and good action. I don't watch movies at night anymore because that causes me to have dreams that keep my mind active. I really need the sleep more now then ever I think. The cat is active at night, and it for only a short time keeps me awake. I am getting her trained a little at a time now. I only have to make the hard Ahh sound and she knows she better behave or she gets the squirt bottle. So little by little , maybe I can get more comfortable with her being in the house.
Scooby is becoming more comfortable with her most of the time. There are times when he shows her who is in charge, but he does not ever hurt her and she does not hurt him. That being said maybe it will be ok. I have two more days to work this week and then two days off. It is a shame we don't have it the opposite. Work two days and get paid for five, and then be off five days. Not very realistic huh? Well I have to check on the medication for the animals. I gave Scooby his now I have to give Serena hers. Then get ready for work. You all have a great day. Oh by the way my Jamie got her drivers license yesterday, well in all fairness the computers were down so they had to wait until today to pick up the paper until she gets her hard copy. I know she is excited, and I am happy for her. I guess I worry about things and sixteen is really early to drive I think. But then I am old, and have really ol Well yesterday I brought Scooby home. Him and the cat are getting accustomed to each other. Still do not know for sure what was wrong. He is doing good so I am happy for that. It is really busy at work, and I have to really push it to get as much completed as possible before I go home. My boss has given me permission to stay if I feel I need to. I just don't want to really. I will though if it is bad.
It is starting to get cooler. I like this weather, because it is not cold just cooler. It won't be long before I have to turn the water off in Christina's room so the pipes won't freeze though. There has been such a problem with flea's this year. I am glad it is getting colder so that comes to a halt. I have never had the problem I have had this year. It is all over the area because of the heat and humidity. I have tried everything to end the problem. Now it seems Diatanious Earth is my answer. I have put the powder down and it seems to be doing the trick. I am grateful! Well I have to go to work early so I will sign off. |
